Can I overcome the ITV with the catalyst in poor condition?
The catalyzate aims to reduce emissions of counting gases, to the entarminants generated by the engine when burning the fuel. These harmful gases, when in contact with the active surface of the catalyzer, are transformed into harmless elements. A catalyst in poor condition cannot neutralize these gases and the emission detection equipment with which the ITV stations are equipped detects and sanctions preventing the car from passing the inspection.
